No trip to San Francisco is complete without at least seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. We didn’t really have any interest in crossing it, or getting up close, so we chose to do this from Lincoln Park.

The San Francisco Arboretum was exceptional. A variety of beautiful plants that were well maintained and easy to photograph. Come prepared to sweat though, a couple of the rooms have extremely high humidity and very warm temperatures. It took several minutes on transitions for the camera to fully adjust. I’m very happy with the number of good shots I got from this shoot. As usual, I’ve only selected a few for here. If you don’t usually visit the flickr sets, I encourage you to do so this time (link at the end of the post).
The painted ladies are a frequent visit of most tourist. They’re bright and colorfully painted Victorian houses. They are quite interesting and the architectural details and colors are definitely worth seeing.
The fireworks over the wharf were only one of at least two sets. Another set was being done beyond the bay bridge, but was too far away to photograph. The show was pretty, but it was short. In the end, I had a feeling of “that was it?”.
